#13 NYC to do: Santacon

I had heard about it... I had seen photos... it's something people fear, hide away from, prepare for as though preparing for a hurricane: collecting all essentials to avoid any need to walk out the front door.

As for me, I'm a bit too curious and don't find much to fear. I was a part of Santacon 2013, and if someone planned a second one for tomorrow, I'd be a part of that too.

The people I saw and the people I spoke to were each one in a million... a million Santas, that is.

My fellow elf and I watched groups of red and white walk by the window. We grabbed our coats and joined the crowds.

There was Kanye Santa...

...and German Santa...

(who doubled as Angry German Santa)

...Dancing Santa...

...Pantsless Santa...

"No one's noticed... I dropped my pants."

...Cowboy Santa...

...Elvis Santa...

...Miss Santa 2007...

"What kind of Santa are you?"
"Miss Santa 2007, of course."

...Smiley Security Santa...

"My mom always told me kindness doesn't cost anything."

...Hungry Santa...

...and then there were a few elves...

...and a reindeer with rather ticklish antlers on his hat.

Someone stopped me on the street corner.
What's going on? He asked in a heavy accent.
It's Santacon!
So what does that mean?
Everyone dresses like Santa.
And then what?
We drink... that's all.

And that's all there needs to be. Ahhh, holiday spirit.
